Developer envisions high-rise on Sullivan’s Steakhouse block

Riverside Resources Inc. plans to build a 39-story residential tower on the downtown block that is currently home to Sullivan’s Steakhouse.

Austin-based Riverside, which is also building the Fifth & West condo tower downtown, has submitted preliminary plans for the new project to the city, according to the Austin American-Statesman. The company declined to comment to the newspaper.

A parking garage and ground-floor restaurant space would be included in the tower at Third and Colorado streets, the Statesman reports.

Other prominent buildings by Riverside Resources include the Capital Ridge office tower adjacent to Hotel Granduca in Bee Cave and Quarry Oaks Business Park near The Domain. It is also in the process of building a 100-acre mixed-use shopping center in Cedar Park.
